Last week, D-Link Australia has introduced the DMS-3130-30PS, a 30-port stackable multi-gigabit PoE++ Layer 3 switch designed to provide businesses with an affordable path to enhanced network performance. The switch bridges the gap between 1Gb and 10Gb infrastructures, allowing enterprises to upgrade their networks without the expense of a full 10Gb deployment.
Graeme Reardon, Managing Director at D-Link Australia, highlighted the switch’s strategic balance between performance and cost-effectiveness. “It’s an ideal solution for enterprises seeking to boost network speeds and power delivery without overhauling their entire infrastructure,” he said.
The DMS-3130-30PS offers flexible multi-gigabit connectivity, featuring 16 x 2.5G PoE+ ports, 8 x 5G PoE++ ports, two 10GBASE-T ports, and four 25G SFP28 uplink ports. This variety of port speeds allows businesses to gradually transition to higher bandwidth applications without replacing their entire network setup.
The switch provides a high-power PoE++ budget for organisations with high power demands, delivering up to 60W per port and a total power capacity of 740W, expandable to 960W. This makes it well-suited for powering Wi-Fi 6/6E access points, surveillance systems, and other high-powered network devices.
To support growing network infrastructures, the DMS-3130-30PS features advanced stacking capabilities. Up to nine units can be stacked together, increasing port density and scalability while adding critical redundancy to networks.
Security and reliability are also key priorities. The switch includes robust security features such as Access Control Lists (ACLs), Storm Control, and the D-Link Safeguard Engine, which help protect against cyber threats and network disruptions. Additionally, 6 kV surge protection and support for a redundant power supply enhance the switch’s durability and uptime.
With a switching capacity of up to 400Gbps and support for both Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking features, the DMS-3130-30PS is built to handle evolving enterprise network demands while ensuring high-speed, efficient data flow.
The DMS-3130-30PS is now available through D-Link Australia, New Zealand, and authorised partners for AU$8,199.95 (RRP).
