March of the goblins returns to Diablo IV

Diablo IV is set to ignite a frenzy of loot-hunting with the return of the “March of the Goblins” event, but this time, with a significant and permanent expansion to the game’s creature roster. From March 4th to March 11th, players will experience a dramatic surge in Treasure Goblin encounters throughout Sanctuary, providing ample opportunities to amass wealth and powerful items. However, the true highlight of this event lies in the introduction of six distinct Treasure Goblin variants, each designed to drop specialized loot, and importantly, these new goblins will remain within the game permanently.

These new variants offer a diverse range of rewards, catering to various player needs. For those seeking crafting materials, the Odious Ector is the target. Gold and Aberrant Cinders await those who track down the Gilded Baron, while the Glittering Prym offers gems, Runes, and Scattered Prisms. Murmuring Obols can be obtained by defeating the Curious Murl, and the Gelatinous Syrus presents a unique challenge, splitting into multiple goblins that drop Legendary items. The most coveted of these new foes is the rare Fancy Old Fedric, which holds the potential for Mythic Uniques and a Resplendent Spark.

Beyond the new goblin types, the event itself amplifies the frequency of larger Goblin packs, Greed Shrines, and increased Goblin spawns during encounters with the World Boss, Avarice. Players can also participate in a new reputation track, earning rewards by slaying these greedy creatures. To begin their hunt and track their progress, players can visit a goblin statue located in Kyovashad. This event not only provides a week of intense loot-gathering but also permanently enriches the “Diablo IV” experience with these new and rewarding goblin variants.
