The Razer Blade 18 (2025) is here and it’s a beast

Razer has officially unveiled its most powerful gaming laptop yet, the Razer Blade 18 (2025), now available for pre-order alongside the newly redesigned Blade 16. Designed to deliver desktop-level performance in a portable package, the Blade 18 sets a new benchmark in gaming and content creation with cutting-edge technology, superior display options, and advanced cooling solutions.

The Razer Blade 18 boasts the world’s first 18-inch dual-mode display, allowing users to seamlessly switch between UHD+ 240Hz for ultra-detailed visuals and FHD+ 440Hz for maximum speed. This feature ensures an unparalleled gaming and creative experience, offering high-resolution clarity and ultra-responsive refresh rates. Powering this portable powerhouse is the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, reaching speeds of up to 5.4GHz across 24 cores and 24 threads, making it ideal for intensive tasks such as AAA gaming and professional-level content creation. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU complements this raw processing power, delivering up to 175W of graphics power and harnessing NVIDIA’s latest Blackwell architecture. With support for DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation, this GPU significantly enhances performance while maintaining high-quality visuals, enabling gamers and creators to push their work to new heights.

Maintaining peak performance requires exceptional cooling, and the Blade 18 is equipped with Razer’s most advanced thermal management system to date. Featuring a 3-fan design and the company’s largest vapor chamber yet, the laptop effectively dissipates heat, ensuring sustained high performance even under the most demanding workloads. The redesigned keyboard now includes a 10-key numeric keypad, 35% more key travel than its predecessor, and Razer Chroma RGB per-key lighting, delivering enhanced productivity and a satisfying typing experience.

Connectivity is another standout feature of the Blade 18, offering a suite of high-speed ports, including Thunderbolt 5 and Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and Gigabit LAN. The laptop also includes a high-fidelity six-speaker system with THX Spatial Audio for immersive sound. At the same time, a 5MP Windows Hello-enabled camera with a privacy shutter ensures crystal-clear video calls.

Razer continues to push the boundaries of both performance and sustainability with the Blade 18. Each unit is crafted from a single block of T6 aluminium, resulting in a durable, precision-milled chassis with a sleek sand-blasted finish. This latest generation also marks Razer’s first use of recycled aluminium in its laptops, aligning with its goal of incorporating sustainable materials across all product lines by 2030. Additionally, the company has redesigned its laptop packaging to eliminate plastic bubble wrap in favour of recyclable FSC-certified cardboard, reducing its environmental impact while maintaining a premium unboxing experience.

Alongside the Blade 18, Razer is also launching the Blade 16 (2025), first unveiled at CES 2025 and now available for pre-order. The Blade 16 stands out as Razer’s thinnest gaming laptop ever, with a new 0.59-inch profile at its slimmest point. Powered by up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU and, for the first time in a Razer laptop, an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, the Blade 16 offers remarkable AI-driven performance, including real-time language translation, enhanced image creation, and improved Windows Studio Effects. The device features a QHD+ 240Hz OLED display with an ultra-fast 0.2ms response time, a redesigned keyboard with deeper key travel, and an upgraded six-speaker THX Spatial Audio system, making it an ideal choice for gamers and creators alike.

The Razer Blade 16 (2025) is available for pre-order starting at AU$3,699.95, while the Blade 18 (2025) starts at US$3,199.99. AU pricing has yet to be confirmed.

Pre-orders are now open via Razer.com, RazerStores, and select retailers. As an exclusive pre-order bonus, customers who purchase the Blade 16 through Razer.com or RazerStores will receive an X-Ray Razer Skin and a USB-C Dock, while those who opt for the Blade 18 will get an X-Ray Razer Skin and a Laptop Stand Chroma.

I’ve said it before, but Razer gear isn’t cheap, but damn…
You get what you pay for in the long run, and again, I’m impressed with what they’re delivering.
